This is a great perennial (in sub-tropics/tropics) with a soft leaf that can be used in lieu of toilet paper! Toilet paper plant also produces a beautiful purple flower. Leaves are not edible. Some report the smell of the leaves (which is quite nice in my opinion) can keep pests away from your fruit trees/pineapples!
